Measures of Student Achievement and Success
Teachers use a variety of strategies, which include peer & self-evaluation, portfolios of student work, tests, journals, and teacher observations and assessment tools to measure student progress and achievement. Additional formal assessment is provided, as needed, through the Student Services Department (psychological, educational, speech & language, and social work assessments).
Other measures include:
- Grade 6 provincial testing, CASI, PM Bench Marks, Evaluation Rapide
- SIPSA Base Line Tools
- Student Achievement Awards: Student of the Month and end of year achievement awards (Grade 4-8); French Incentives; sports awards (house league and all-star),
- Oratory Competitions, and History Competitions/Fairs
